In this session\, Dr. Maheen Mausoof Adamson will review current communication tools for speech-impaired patients and introduce Soof Solutions\, a ground-breaking iPad-based eye-gaze tracking platform developed through the Stanford Byers Biodesign Program. Learn how this digital health solution bridges the gap between patients\, family caregivers\, and healthcare providers to restore independence and connection. 💙👁️\n\nAbout the Speaker 👩‍⚕️🔬\n\nMaheen Mausoof Adamson\, PhD\, MHL is a Clinical Professor of Neurosurgery at Stanford School of Medicine\, Research Director for a national Veteran women’s center\, and Senior Scientist in Rehabilitation Services at VA Palo Alto Healthcare System.\n\nDr. Adamson holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from USC\, completed postdoctoral training at Stanford\, and earned her Master’s in Healthcare Leadership from Brown University. With over 20 years of experience\, 100+ publications\, and numerous international awards\, she is a leader in translational neuroscience\, traumatic brain injury\, and healthcare entrepreneurship. She is also the founder of Soof Solutions Inc. and a passionate mentor for women and underrepresented groups in STEM. 🌟🎓
